For this post, I'll be talking about "CULT"
to be honest, I've never actually heard of this word before till Mr Charles mentioned it during class
Definition of Cult
The word cult comes from the French culte, and is rooted in the Latin cultus, which means "care" and "adoration." That idea comes from the Latin cultus - the past participle of colere, which means "to cultivate."
1. a. A
religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or
false, with its followers
often living in an unconventional manner under
the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
b. The followers of such a religion or sect.
2. A system or community of religious worship and ritual.
3. The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual.
4. A usually nonscientific method or regimen claimed by its originator to
have exclusive or
exceptional power in curing a particular disease.
5. a. Obsessive, especially faddish, devotion to or veneration for a person, principle, or thing.
b. The object of such devotion.
6. An exclusive group of persons sharing an esoteric, usually artistic or inTtellectual interest
-A cult is usually small and tightly-knit organization, whose beliefs and religious practices operate outside the mainstream. Some cults may be good and some bad!
EXAMPLES:
-The Manson Family- - The Illuminati-
-Scientology-
Well, cult can also be seen on the branding side
From what I learned in class today, It is rather unusual that people would prefer buying a cup of Starbucks coffee instead of some ordinary coffee from another brand. Why would people spend more money to buy a pair of Nike shoes instead of buying a normal pair of shoes at the market?.

Definition of 'Cult Brand'
A product or service that has an energetic and loyal customer base. A cult brand, unlike others, has customers who can be described as near-fanatical, true believers in the brand and may feel a sense of ownership or vested interest in the brand's popularity and success. Cult brands have achieved a unique connection with customers, and are able to create a consumer culture that people want to be a part of.From what I learned in class today, It is rather unusual that people would prefer buying a cup of Starbucks coffee instead of some ordinary coffee from another brand.
