Monograms!

Hi everyone!!..Ms Lisa told us about our new assignment today which is "MONOGRAMS"!! ...yayy... I was really looking forward for this assignment..cause I've heard about it from my seniors already :) . We had a short lecture session on what Monogram and Logos is all about..So, what is the difference between Monorgam and Logo? xP.

 MONOGRAMS
A monogram is a motif made by overlapping or combining two or more letters or other graphemes to form one symbol. Monograms are often made by combining the initials of an individual or a company, used as recognizable symbols or logos

In my own words : Monogram is a combination of the initials of an individual.

Examples :

 LOGO

A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons) or are composed of the name of the organization (a logotype or wordmark).

In my own words :  A logo is a visual representative which either uses graphics or logotype

Examples :

At the end of our lecture session, Ms Lisa told us to go and look for inspirations in the library. It can be a book,magazine,newspaper...well..practically ANYTHING! that inspires us.. We were told to bring our "source" of inspiration during the next class on thursday ( 12/12/2013)..for tutorial session :)
