CTS Superhero Costume

Today (30/7/2013) is SUPERHERO COSTUME DAY!! XD. It was a really hectic day as we had our english oral presentation in the morning and had to rush to change into our costumes after that.My superhero name is called "Sweet Sour" .I've came up with this superhero based on the game called candy crush. Well, why did I choose the name of "Sweet Sour". Basically "sweet" means that I can be use my cuteness to lure people into doing things for me. MUAHAHAHA..I can be a very nice heroine but If someone messes around with me..I can turn into a sour mood (angry). My magical power is basically hypnotizing people and also zapping people with my weapon. The weapon as you can see is a gigantic lollipop. It may look ordinary to you, but NOOOOOOOOOOO...it's actually a very deadly weapon XP..I got my inspiration from Candy Crush whereby the chocolate ball produces electric power which zaps the other candies. I tried to improvise instead of using a chocolate ball and came up with an idea of a pink lollipop instead!. A mask is also worn to protect my identity from being revealed to others. The colours I have chosen for my costume are mainly pastel colours which suits the colour of candies very well :). A black cape is added on to make me look even more like a superhero :)

Superhero Schematic

During this weeks class, We had a 1 on 1 tutorial session with Mr Charles. This was the schematic diagram of my superhero that I presented to him. He approved my sketch and I was so happy about it :).

Oblique Strategies

The 5 Oblique strategies that I created using trash around my house ^^

1) Zip lock bag
Materials used : Straws and transparent bag

2) Mini Skateboard
Materials used : hard paper and 4 Buncho paint covers

 3) Hair pin
Materials used : Bobby Pin + Sweet wrapper
 

4) Jump rope
Materials used : tons and tons and tons of RUBBER BANDS!! XD
 

5) Pencil holder
Materials used : Colour paper and a old tin

Refreshing Springs Simulation- Task 1

  This video was taken during Task 1. After 2 hours of cracking our heads to decipher the code,we decided to trade in 1 of our tags for the solution .We were given a piece of paper by Professor Charles which had a clue to answering that code. We had to correctly match the code with the letters to form a word. "Marian" was the solution..

Refreshing Springs Simulation - Task 4

-This video was taken during Task 4. For this task, we were required to create smores for Professor Charles.We came up with 3 different types of smores which are

- Marshmallow+ Bika

-Marshmallow + Super Ring

-Marshmallow + Cream-o

As you can see in this video, Professor Charles was really impressed with our creation ^^

Refreshing Springs Simulation -Task 5

- Hahaha..for this task, we had to to perform a song for Professor Charles. We decided to sing Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars. It was a really hectic situation as we only had 15minutes to practice before performing. This short clip was taken during our practice session.

Refreshing Springs Simulation - Making Lantern

-Just a short clip taken during the making of our lantern :) . The lantern that we made is actually a rafflesia flower.We were requierd to use materials that we can find from nature such as sticks,dry leafs,branches and more :) .Thanks to my group mates for being so cooperative while making this lantern! It was definitely a happy moment seeing it light up during the BBQ night :)

Simulation Trip T-Shirt

When the simulation trip was over, Mr Charles told us to record down anything about the trip on our t-shirt. I went really crazy while designing my shirt..haha..I tried to fill up most of the spaces as well as making it look really colourful. Mr Charles gave me a socre of  8.5/10 for my t-shirt design. I guess my hardwork really did paid off in the end huh? XD YAY ME!!..

CTS Simulation Trip-Day 3

6/7/2013 - "Pui Leng's Birthday" << lols!
-Last day-

Surprisingly I woke up extremely early today!, Me and Twinnce arrived at the dining hall at 8am sharp!..LOLS..we were practically the only one's there ...Breakfast was reallly really reallly reallly reallly REALLLY delicious!!.. There was a wide range of food which included nasi lemak, laksa,kuih and also bread. After breakfast, we went back to our chalet to do some packing. We were told to assemble at the dining hall and wait for our bus driver to call up. Group pictures were then taken by our awesome photographer "Voon Lyn". Soon,our simulation trip has come to an end. We were all really sad to leave this place as we had so much of fun here!. I never regretted a single bit for taking part in this simulation trip.Big thanks to Mr Charles for being such an awesome organizer for this trip!
